Welshpool High School tried something a little different to help their new sixth form students become accustomed with the new school year.
Students enjoyed an an inspiring induction day at Cefn Lea Park, Dolfor, where staff and former students, Carwyn Owen and Connor Phillips, shared their experiences and provided plenty of advice about the road ahead.
Top Universities were present alongside Nidec – Control Techniques to provide advice and plant some seed for future opportunities.
As well as the induction activities, students also had the opportunity to try their hand at Frisby Golf, Pitch and Putt and more, not to mention a great lunch.
The day was completed with a fantastic presentation by Sean Conway, a professional ‘Adventurer’ who shared a positive message of resilience, effort and setting your sights high to gain the greatest benefit from each and every situation.
“The students enjoyed the day and we hope they feel motivated to continue with the next stage in their own personal journey, all with our continued support,” said a spokesperson.
