Christmas holiday bonus for Town Council staff

Welshpool Town Council staff are being given an extra three days holiday over Christmas.

The holiday bonus is a reward for the work they have carried out under Covid restrictions during the past year and was approved by the Full Council last night.

It was also confirmed that the |Town Council will be closed over Christmas from 4pm on Thursday, December 23 and wil re-open on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The office phones will be checked during this period and a mobile contact will be made available on the Town Council website and supplied to councillors.

Outdoor staff will check Town Council owned open spaces and the Town Hall during the holiday period and alternative arrangements are being made for Meals on Wheels customers.
