Green bin subscribers are being reminded that there are only a few weeks of collections left as the county council confirmed more than 4,000 tonnes of garden waste has been recycled to date this year.
The service, which starts in March, collects garden waste fortnightly until the first week of December.
Subscriptions for the 2022 service will be open in February, with the service resuming in early March.
Cllr Heulwen Hulme, Cabinet Member for Recycling and Waste, said: “Many of us are really busy in the gardens at this time of year. Tidying up after the summer and getting things prepared for spring. So, we are keen to remind our residents to make the most of the last few remaining garden waste collections of 2021.
“So far this year, with the help of participating households, more than 4,000 tonnes of garden waste have been collected and recycled into compost.”
