The Welshpool area will join the rest of the country in paying their respects at Remembrance events this week.
On Thursday, November 11, the town is asked to come to a standstill at 11am for the minute’s silence, with a short service to be held outside the Town Hall.
Next Sunday, November 14, the annual Remembrance Parade will be held with an open invitation for the area to come together in a united show of respect.
The procession of dignitaries, Royal British Legion members, local groups and organisations will leave Park Lane at 10.15am and will march to St. Mary’s Church, where a service will be held at 10:45am.
Following the Service and laying of wreaths, the procession will march back to the Town Hall, where light refreshments will be served in the Corn Exchange.
