Shop’s Christmas video is out of this world!
Businessman Paul Alexander is well known locally as a sharp social media satirist, and he has hit the spot once again by taking the lead from the John Lewis alien advert to produce a brilliant version of his own.
And we can reveal that his one minute 15-second feature was produced for the earth shattering sum of twenty quid!
“I got the alien idea from the John Lewis advert and spent 20 quid on the suit!” Paul told us. “Hafod Hardware (Rhayader store) aren’t doing one this year, so I thought there was a gap.
“It took me about 20 minutes to do and I had to hang something over the front door so folk couldn’t see me looking an idiot. That alien suit wasn’t the most flattering.”
Hafod Hardware’s Christmas video went viral a couple of years back and, this week, they received a visit from Prince Charles.
“I’ll settle for Prince Andrew,” Paul joked.
