We all like a good moan about what’s going on in and around our community, but this May there is an opportunity to do something about it.
Elections will be held in May for a new Welshpool Town Council, and residents are being encouraged to step forward and become a part of shaping the town’s future.
“We are hoping lots of people will come forward to stand for election and be part of the democratic election process.” said Anne Wilson, Town Clerk.
Four open events are being held to explain what being a councillor means and to understand the responsibilities involved.
“It is also an opportunity to come and meet some of the current councillors and staff,” she said.
