Town's weekend of live music

Welshpool revellers are set for a weekend of live music as publicans go all out to attract customers.

Dai Robs and Steve Edwards star at The Royal Oak at the regular Friday Oak Live event which has been attracting big audiences for the last three months.

While just down the road at The Pinewood the impressive Billy Spencer will be entertaining.

Hot on the heels of the hugely successful Oak Live nights the Angel is introducing live music on Saturday nights.

The first will be held this Saturday and features Newtown singer songwriter Alex Davies along with Welshpool performers Rob Picken and Tom Carter, starting at 7.30pm.

While in High Street a new band for Welshpool will perform on Saturday at The Talbot. Euphonium have not appeared in the town before.
