MyTown Media Ltd, the parent company of mywelshpool and mynewtown, has forged a partnership with Mid Wales Tourism to keep you up-to-date with what events are happening in your local area.
Mid Wales Tourism has been promoting events for several years and we have incorporated their ever-evolving listing into our site under ‘Local Events’ to provide you with a one-stop shop to find out what’s coming up.
It also provides event organisers with another excellent opportunity to spread the word to our thousands of loyal readers from across the region and beyond, as well as those on the MWT network.
And watch out soon for another key service that we will provide from the partnership!
“One of the difficult challenges for event organisers is how to keep people informed and that is why we are delighted to work with both mywelshpool and mynewtown to help spread the word,” said Val Hawkins, Chief Executive of Mid Wales Tourism (left in picture).
“The sites are visited by thousands of people every week so this relationship is key for the benefit of those people wanting to know what’s on and also for event organizers.”
Since its inception in August 2010, mywelshpool has received more than two-and-a-half million page views with visitor numbers increasing month on month. Mynewtown has also made a huge impact and the countdown is well underway to launch two more sites for Powys.
This agreement represents one of the site’s main aims of working closely with partners for the benefit of the community it represents.
“Mid Wales Tourism plays a key role in promoting the area as a leisure destination so there is a natural synergy for us, as the primary provider of news and information for the area, to work closely with them,” said MyTown Media Ltd co-founder David Williams (pictured with Val).
“We are always looking at ways of providing a wider service to our visitors and I am sure our ‘Local Events’ section will become a popular addition. And once again, it is free of charge. And look out in the coming weeks for another excellent service to come out of this agreement."
It couldn’t be simpler to publicise your events without it costing you a penny - whether they are car boot sales, race nights or whatever. Simply click on the ‘Local Events’ link in the main bar at the top and click on the ‘contact’ button. Fill in the form and it will be listed in the section within 24 hours by the Mid Wales Tourism team.
Mid Wales Tourism is an independent company representing around 600 tourism businesses in Powys, Ceredigion and Meirionnydd.
