Getting married? Head to Royal Oak

PROSPECTIVE brides and bridegrooms will be heading to the Royal Oak Hotel, in Welshpool, for a wedding fayre on Sunday.

The hotel is staging the event to showcase its facilities and exhibitors will include Wedding Belles at Laura’s, Splash Photography, Laburnum House, Lily & Lace and Touch of Class Wedding Cars and many more.

Dominating the centre of the, the imposing Royal Oak Hotel is the ideal wedding venue. The fayre, which is being held throughout the hotel, will offer examples of what the Royal Oak Hotel can offer as well as featuring a wide variety of exhibitors with some ‘one-off’ items to make your special day truly unique.

It’s been a case of ‘all change’ at The Royal Oak recently with the hotel becoming the headquarters of live music in the town. Artists appear every Friday night and it’s completely free to enter, while Sundays have become open-mic nights.

The hotel has staged successful murder, mystery and comedy club nights along with tribute nights for Take That, Tom Jones and Frank Sinatra.

A masquerade ball and more tribute acts are planned for the new year. Pre-Christmas party nights have proved particularly popular this year, while tickets are selling well for the New Year’s Eve Party Night with entertainment from local singing star Dai Robs and a disco.
