Castle’s fairytale Christmas

07/12/2012 @ 04:14

Visitors to Powis Castle can experience a magical fairytale themed Christmas this year.

From Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty in the castle to Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland in the garden, the Castle promises to bring the classic fairytales to life.

In addition to some of the state rooms being open, visitors can discover what happens behind closed doors at Powis Castle by experiencing its atmospheric and previously unopened cellars and kitchens for a multi-sensory delight.

The Castle and Gardens are now open every day (excluding December 25), until December 31 but check the website for opening times. Visitors have free entry to the shop and restaurant where a two-course meal for two is just £9.50 with free tea or coffee with any cake purchased.
