Horseshoes open after makeover

The Horseshoes Inn near Berriew has reopened after refurbishment.

The inn just outside Welshpool is open again after the doors were closed following the New Year celebrations for a three-week refurbishment.

It is now open seven days a week and serves food between 12noon and 9pm with a carvery on Sundays.

New assistant manager Daniel Wilson, the former restaurant manager of The Falcon's Nest, Port Erin, on the Isle of Man, is now in place and there are several new dishes alongside old favourites on the menu.
