The groundbreaking new album featuring the best local bands is scheduled to go on sale next week for just £5.

Welshpool (Collected) Volume 1 has been mixed and a classic ‘local’ sleeve designed in readiness for its general sale, but pre-orders can be made now through http://www.tellerpromotions.co.uk/category/cd-s-467.html.

The compilation, featuring 13 local bands, will provide an end-of-year boost to the Welshpool music scene which has enjoyed a fruitful year with acts like Colour Sunday, Dai Robs, The Soul Jets and Voodoo Johnson all receiving national acclaim.

“There are so many top quality artists in the area that aren’t getting the exposure they deserve, so the CD will hopefully make people aware of the high quality musicians that we have in the area,” said the album’s promoter Ben Picken, from Teller Promotions. “We at Teller Promotions are very excited about the release and really hope that everyone gets a copy for their Christmas stocking to help promote local talent!”

Colour Sunday video cancelled

Meanwhile, plans to record a video for Colour Sunday’s new single on Saturday night in Welshpool have been postponed. The band will let fans know of the new date as soon as it is known.
