Christmas Lights details
Christmas is coming and Welshpool Town Council has announced the details for when it will switch on the town’s lights.
The date for the diary is November 30, when a procession will leave the Tourist Information Centre at 6.50pm, with the lights going on to music at 7pm.
The town’s Carnival Queen will flick on the switch at the Town Hall and she will be accompanied by real reindeer.
Father Christmas will be present, with kids having the opportunity to see him for free after the lights have gone on.
Following the big switch on, the town’s Winter Festival will be held the Saturday with plenty of street stalls, craft and Christmas stalls getting us all into the festive spirit.
Father Christmas will be making another appearance along and the animal farm, which proved popular last year, will return to Puzzle Square.
