Assembly candidates at Town Hall on Wednesday night

The six candidates battling to win the Montgomeryshire seat in the Welsh Assembly Government elections will be at Welshpool Town Hall on Wednesday night.

Hustings hosted by Welshpool Town Council start at 7pm with a chance to hear the political views.

Russell George is the outgoing member and he faces opposition from the same five candidates who took on Glyn Davies in the General Election last year.

A draw for the order of speakers was made in public by the Town Council recently and is:

Jane Dodds, Liberal Democrat.

Aled Morgan, Plaid Cymru.

Des Parkinson, UKIP.

Russell George, Conservative.

Martyn Singleton, Labour.

Richard Challoner, Green Party.
