A Llanfair Caereinion man and woman have been disqualified from keeping all animals for 15 years after admitting causing unnecessary suffering to two dogs.

The RSPCA said Kimberly Georgina Dixon, 21, and Calum Scott Jones, 24, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to a Labrador, known as Bronson, and a

German Sherherd called Kiara, by failing to provide them with an adequate diet or a suitable environment and failure to protect them from pain, suffering, injury and disease.

The couple, of Hoel Bowys, Llanfair Caereinion, were both disqualified from keeping all, apart from birds, for 15 years and were ordered to pay £150 costs each.

Dixon was given an 18-week suspended sentence and Jones was given an eight-week suspended sentence.
RSPCA inspector Phil Lewis told Welshpool Magistrates’ Court: “This is sad case for animal lovers. This was a case of deliberate neglect and it is awful to think what those poor dogs went through.”
