The Welshpool based Potter Group has completed its move into a new refurbished headquarters as part of its ongoing expansion programme.

The biggest privately owned waste management company in Wales has added the adjoining 5.5acre of the former Floform factory site on Henfaes Lane to its 7.5 acres at Potters Yard and has now moved its head office into vacant office space there.

Current tenants in the former Floform factory, Dawson Shannahan Engineering, Invertek Drives and Amco Construction will stay on the 106,000 square feet site.

The Potter Group had outgrown its former head office at Potter’s Yard, having recruited 15 new members of staff in the last 12 months.

Potter’s Yard will remain as home to the waste transfer station, scrap yard and adjoining community recycling centre while the weighbridge has been moved to the new Henfaes Lane site.

“The purchase is part of our ongoing programme of expansion,” said Potter Group managing director James Potter. “We bought the site from a London based investment company because it perfectly suited our needs for the development of the Potter’s Yard base.

“The move will allow us to develop the present base into a state-of-the-art facility to help us deliver sustainable waste management services and offer total waste management solutions for years to come.

“Customers should not be affected other than needing to use the Henfaes Lane entrance in future and it’s business as usual,” he added.

The Potter Group is a third generation family run business, originally established for the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
