Anti-social behaviour hotline open

A new hotline has been opened by Wwelshpool Town Council as part of a new drive to end the problems caused by anti-social behaviour.

The number will allow residents to report problems in their neighbourhoods confidentially with the town council keen to log all incidents in order to compile a collective case for the authorities.

Following the public meeting on June 20 in the Town Hall, a two-week consultation period with residents will be carried out a questionnaires available.

“The form and phone number will enable residents to log incidents and they can do it without giving their name and address if they wish,” said a town council spokesperson.

Incidents can also be reported by email to as well as the new hotline number of 01938 554433. Incidents can also be reported to the police on 101.

Meanwhile, Welshpool Police have also started distributing leaflets to local businesses urging them to report any anti-social behaviour.
