‘Hair’ you go

A Welshpool man who carried out a ‘hair raiser’ for two causes has handed over nearly £6,500.

Vince Roberts is known locally for his shaven head, but he decided not to touch his locks for a full year in a bid to raise cash for the two charities that have touched his life of late.

And now he has handed over the proceeds, a whopping £6,475 to be shared between the Lingen Davies Unit in Shrewsbury and the Maggie Centre in Dundee.”

Vince told us: “A couple of lads I know have battled cancer through the Lingen Davies Unit, and Maggie’s Centre in Dundee (Scotland) helped my wife's sister who sadly passed away, aged just 34. Also they helped her father who passed away three years ago.”
