Organisers at Vaynor Car Club are busy preparing for the 11th Vaynor Festival to be held on September 18th.

The club has successfully organised the event for the last 10 years with over 500 crews taking part and helping to raise over £38,000 for Marie Curie Nurses in Powys and the Wales Air Ambulance.

The aim of the event is to provide a great day’s motoring with fellow enthusiasts enjoying the scenery of The Marches, with just a taste of the disciplines of road rallying.

Anyone is welcome to enter the event with any sort of road legal car, providing they are qualified drivers and fully insured.

“We have a growing number of lads and dads and mothers and daughter crews involved with the hot competition to be Best Junior Navigator,” said a spokesman.

Entrants will meet for registration and breakfast at Powis Castle at 8am with the first car deprting at 9am with lunch at a special location and the event concluding with tea at the splendid Vaynor Park at Berriew, where the gardens will be opening for the day.

Entry forms are available from: Catherine Moss, Brookgate Hall, Plealey, Shrewsbury, SY5 0UY
