The mini tornado which smashed through Mid Wales yesterday meant the show just didn't go on for Guilsfield Amateur Dramatic Society last night.

Members were all set for the opening night of Amanda Whittington's "Ladies Day" at Guilsfield Community Centre but with the freak storm bringing down trees, and electricity supplies cut-off the performance had to be cancelled.

But it will be business as usual for tonight and next week's performances will go ahead as planned. Anyone who had tickets for last night will be able to use them On any of the remaining dates of November 18, 24, 25 and 26.

"We have checked ticket sales and we were expecting a fairly small audience last night," said a spokesman.

Options are:-

1. Go on another night your ticket will be accepted even if it is a squeeze.

2. If you have a physical ticket for Thursday 17th performance you can return it to the shop where you bought it.

3. If you have an electronic ticket for Thursday 17th performance and don't use it at one of the remaining performances you can request a refund by emailing your ticket numbers to

4. Give it up as a bad job.

Tickets are still available on line now at and also from Welshpool Jewellers and Costcutter (was SPAR) in Guilsfield, or from members of the cast.

Adults are priced at £7.50, with pensioners £6, and under 14s £5.
