‘Help us boost our green community hub’
Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust is starting a Friends of Severn Farm Pond Group to increase awareness of the nature reserve and to create a community hub for all to enjoy.
“This popular but small community reserve is fully accessible, has some great facilities and is only a short walk from the town centre,” said a Trust spokesperson.
“The reserve plays host to a variety of activities from educational school visits, family events and community group meetings to volunteer sessions, training or for individuals just seeking a peaceful place to enjoy nature.
“We feel it has even more to offer to local people and wildlife and we would like local people to tell us how and to help it grow.”
A first Friends of Severn Farm Pond meeting is being held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 7 at the reserve, with all welcome to attend. Tea and cake is being offered to entice more people to come!
