The cross border police operation to end the raids on transit vans has received a breakthrough with a number of items recovered across the border.

West Mercia Police have issued this image after saying they recovered the items from the Badsey and Broadway areas. They are believed to have been taken in September.

No further details have been given about arrests but they are keen to reunite the items with their owners.

“Police are keen to reunite the property with its rightful owners and a photo showing some of the recovered items has been released in a bid to facilitate this,” said a statement.

“Anyone who recognises the property or has had items stolen over the past few months and is able to prove ownership should call Phil Schoenrock on 101.”

The number also for West Mercia Police is 0300 333 3000.

A gang has been targeting our area with some regularity since the summer with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of tools stolen. It is believed they have some sort of a master key to gain access.

Dyfed Powys Police this week warned tradesmen again to take extra security measures to protect their property.
