Details of engagement events taking place in the area during February to discuss the future of the county have been announced.

The multi-agency Powys Public Service Board is publishing a Draft Wellbeing Assessment as part of its response to the Welsh Government’s Wellbeing of Future Generations Act. And the board now wishes to check with local people to see if it is on the right lines.

Public drop in events are taking place across the area as follows:

• Welshpool Library: Monday, February 6, 10am-2pm

• Coed Y Dinas, Welshpool: Wednesday, February 8; 12-4pm

• Montgomery Town Market: Thursday,  February 9, 10am-12.30pm

• Llanfair Caereinion Library: Tuesday, February 14, 10am-1pm

• Llanfair Caereinion Library: Thursday, February 16, 4pm-7pm

Details of events in other towns will be revealed shortly.

Those attending will be invited to take part in a prize draw to win a well-being hamper.

In addition, representatives of the board will be meeting with community groups across the county during the month. For those unable to make the drop in events, an online survey will be available from the first week in February via www.powys.gov.uk/haveyoursay.
