Carnival Queen and talent search
The search is on for this year’s Welshpool Carnival Queen and for the town’s talented performers.
This year’s Queen will be selected at the annual talent show in the Town Hall on Thursday, April 6 organised by Welshpool Town Council.
Entrants for the Carnival Queen selection must be over 12 years old while attendants will need to be eight years and over.
Applicants for the talent show must live, work or be educated in Welshpool and no professional entries are allowed.
The winner will receive £50, with the chance to perform at the annual carnival. Second place gets £20 and there’s £10 for third.
