There’s been a few rants from residents on Facebook, and now it has prompted police to run the rule over parents and guardians parking during peak times at Guilsfield School.

Police haven’t said whether any action was taken prior to the weekend, but they revealed that they have paid the village a visit after complaints from residents.

They tweeted with this picture (right): “Patrols at ‪@guilsfieldcp school this a.m. following concerns over parking at drop off & pick up times. ‪#RoadSafety.”

One resident publicly complained that she was blocked in her own driveway by thoughtless parking during the morning drop-off time.

The visit comes in the same week that we reported the anti-social behaviour issues resulting from boy racers in the village. Residents complained that youngsters were turning the car parks into race tracks with reckless driving at various times of day and night.
