It’s back to business for those of you wanting to apply to cast your vote by post for the General Election on June 8.

The system was shut down following the global cyber attack last week, with Powys County Council blocking all external emails as a precaution.

“As of Tuesday morning, Powys residents who wish to submit an application to vote by post can now do so using an online form at http://www.powys.gov.uk/en/elections/apply-to-vote-by-post/,” said a spokesperson.

“Please choose the “Return Application to Vote Post Here” link within the grey box on that webpage.

This form has been created as the council cannot currently receive emails from outside its network because of a precautionary lock-down by its email service provider, the NHS Wales Informatics Service.
