Town Hall broadcast called off

Tonight’s planned live broadcast by the BBC from Welshpool Town Hall has been called off in the wake of the Manchester bombing.

The BBC had announced that it would be holding a live political debate and workmen had set-up ready to go live when the announcement came this morning.

The programme was due to go out live on BBC1 Wales tonight but due to the nationwide decision to suspend all political canvassing ahead of the June election BBC bosses have cancelled.
