Firefighters blocked in station by ignorant drivers

It's less than four weeks since our local firefighters appealed to motorists to stop blocking the box junction outside the fire station.

But their appeal has fallen of deaf ears  and yesterday crews were delayed trying to leave the station on an emergency call because of thoughtless motorists.

During the busy May Bank Holiday weekend, the station reported that they faced difficulties exiting the station due to motorists queuing up on the box junction which has been put there to help them save lives.

Every second counts in an emergency but it didn’t seem to bother the drivers, and worryingly it happened during the same weekend last year.

“Our crews had difficulties again today turning out to numerous calls due to inconsiderate drivers parking on the box junction,” they said.

And yesterday our heroes took toTwitter again with this tweet:
