Drugs chase in town

Police in Welshpool carried out a dramatic arrest on Friday which led to the seizure of a batch of drugs already cut into similar sized packages (pictured).

Details are brief, but it is believed a moped was stopped during a routine traffic stop before the person riding it took flight on foot.

An arrest was made soon after and a quantity of drugs was seized. The rider was also not insured to drive the moped which has also been taken.
