Water saving campaign launched

Local homeowners are being made aware of a new digital campaign aimed at saving water which will also benefit the environment and help people manage their water bills more effectively.

Charitable body Severn Trent Trust Fund has announced the #savewater initiative which is supported by Severn Trent Water, who have donated two 190 litre water butts for recycling water in the garden and two Mira Eco water saving shower heads.

The campaign will run until September 30, with the prizes going to the most original water saving tips submitted during the campaign.

The Trust, which offers grants and help to those in debt in the Severn Trent Water area, aims to raise awareness of how to manage water usage and share useful water saving tips.

The competition will run via social media and a list of all the tips suggested will be made available when it comes to a close.
