Monday service for NatWest

13/10/2017 @ 11:20

The closure of NatWest’s Welshpool branch last month may have caused a shock, but the banking giant is softening the blow by offering mobile banking for the time being.

Following its cost cutting measure, the bank is introducing a mobile branch once a week on a Monday afternoon and will have a customer service representative in the Town Hall on the same day.

While it is hoped that the mobile bank will park on Broad Street eventually as part of the outdoor market day, for the time being, because of internet connectivity issues, it will be located in Tesco Car Park from 2-4pm.

The information has not been provided to us by the bank but by the Town Council who said it has been negotiating with the bank throughout the closure period to try and convince them to maintain some face-to-face services in the town.
