Remembrance event announced

Welshpool is holding an event to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the country.

The Town Council, working with the Royal British Legion (Welshpool and District branch), are holding a Festival of Remembrance on Friday, November 10 in the Assembly Room of the Town Hall.

The evening starts at 7:30pm, with doors open from 7pm and there will be music from the Porthywaen Youth and Training Band and performances from entertainer Martin Barry and violinist Sally Crosby.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for £5, and are available from Welshpool Tourist Information Centre, Welshpool Town Council office and Jan’s Card and Gift Shop.

Tickets can also be purchased on the door at a cost of £6.
