Berriew Street toilets targeted again
Graffiti has been daubed over the walls and sign posts at the trouble spot (pictured), which is frequented by groups of mainly young men drinking alcohol at various times of the day.
This picture was sent in by a reader, who asked not to be named, but complained that he has been a victim of verbal abuse in the past as he walked through the area concerned.
Only last week, the toilets were covered in human poo and cleaned up by the Town Council’s excellent Street Clean team.
The council says it will be looking at CCTV footage of the area and is liaising with police.
“We will be looking at our CCTV footage to see if we can identify the culprits,” said a spokesperson. “There are a number of places it has appeared with the same signature. If we catch them, the Town Council will prosecute.
“If anyone has information, please let us know in confidence. The police are involved.”
