Welshpool will Remember this weekend with a number of events that will pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.

Friday – Festival of Remembrance (7.30pm)

Welshpool Town Council, working with the Royal British Legion (Welshpool and District branch), are holding a Festival of Remembrance in the Assembly Room of the Town Hall.

Music is provided by the Porthywaen Youth and Training Band with performances from entertainer Martin Barry and violinist Sally Crosby.

Tickets are £5 and available from Welshpool Tourist Information Centre, Welshpool Town Council office and Jan’s card’s and gift shop. On the door it is £6.

Saturday - a minute’s silence outside the Town Hall at 11:00am 

Sunday - Remembrance Parade

A procession, led by the Newtown Youth Band, will leave Park Lane at 10.40am to St Mary’s Church for a service at 10.50am.

Following the Service and laying of wreaths, the procession will return back to the Town Hall for light refreshments in the Assembly Room.
