Youth Theatre performances this weekend

Local talent will be on show this weekend when the Montgomeryshire Youth Theatre presents Constable Jones’s Journal with a show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

The comical and moving account of life in Welshpool during Victorian times has been devised by the senior group of the MYT and tells the story of the town in 1841 when the Montgomeryshire Constabulary was established.

 

Although fictional, it is based on real people, places and events from that year and is performed as theatre in the round.

 

The shows, at Welshpool High School’s Theatr Clera, are staged at: 7pm, Friday; 7pm, Saturday and 3pm on Sunday. Tickets are 6 pounds for adults and 3 pounds for concessions. Family tickets (2x2) are 15 pounds.
