The Police announce local spring tour

The Police are ‘sending out an SOS’, but will be hoping for more than a ‘message in a bottle’ in return when their local Spring tour hits the road this week.

 

But it won’t be Sting and Co from the famous 1980’s band coming to a village near you over the next seven weeks; it will be the local police force taking to the road to identify and tackle the key problems affecting local communities.

 

A Mobile Police Station will begin its visits from March 2 in Guilsfield and will be located in high profile areas in Forden, Llandrinio, Middletown, Four Crosses and Llanymynech during March and April.

 

“It is important that we reach out to the communities in and around Welshpool to engage with the local people and to establish priorities for policing those communities,” said a police spokesperson. “Two-way dialogue is important and we urge the people of these villages to visit the mobile police station and talk to us.”

 

The Mobile Police Station has seating and a table within and will visit villages for approximately an hour at a time.
