More chaos as Mill Lane shuts again

There are more problems for Welshpool motorists again this morning with Mill Lane partially closed again for resurfacing.

Following a week's closure due to a collapsed culvert Mill Lane reopened on Friday night to the relief of Welshpool's motoring residents but there was more gloom again for rush hour travellers this morning.

With travellers already hit by a rail strike motorists heading for the station end of town were again being diverted through the town centre.

A spokesperson at the Town Clerk's office said that the road was down to one lane to allow for resurfacing work to take place following last week's essential repair work.
