New primary school schemes go before town planners

Plans for Welshpool’s two new primary schools will go before Welshpool Town Council’s planning committee on Wednesday, January 17.

The committee will be looking at pre-consultation papers for the proposed demolition of existing school buildings and construction of a new replacement 150 place Welsh medium primary school with ancillary car parking, landscaping, recreational space and associated infrastructure works on land at Ysgol Maesydre, Welshpool

Also on display will be plans for the proposed construction of a new English medium primary school with ancillary car parking, landscaping, recreational space and associated infrastructure works on land at Salop Road, Welshpool.

The public and interested parties are welcome to attend the meeting.
