Bins collections may be delayed

Powys County Council says its bin collections have once again been disrupted by the snow, but have told householders not to worry.

The weekend weather has again hampered their new collection timetables, but the council still targets that a majority of houses won’t be affected.

However, some may well be due to the increased time of the rounds, but the council has said that householders need not worry, and to leave them out the next day as well.

“Crews have been out in county on Monday collecting where road conditions have allowed,” said a Council spokesperson.

“We would ask residents to put out their waste and recycling as normal this week. We will be catching up throughout the week so, if we don’t collect on your scheduled day, please put out your waste and recycling again the following day.”
