“Scum!”

More mindless acts of window smashing have occurred over the weekend, with one victim describing the culprit(s) as "scum".

Yesterday we reported that windows at the former Ardwyn School, now called Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng, were damaged, but it appears that more windows were smashed at the Green Dragon and Talbot pubs, as well as Laburnum House Florist and a storage unit on the back road.

Dan Stephens, from the Talbot, has understandably reacted with anger, appealing for the town to pull together to catch those responsible.

“The Green Dragon and Talbot Inn pubs, each had four windows smashed at around 4.50am Monday morning,” he said. “This was not an attempted burglary. If anyone has seen, heard or knows any information please please contact the police and help us find the scum that has done this.”

The spate of windows being smashed started around Christmas with one person arrested following the incident to the new Constructiv Clothing shop, just off the Cross.
