Time to nominate your ‘heroes’

There have been some tremendous achievements and hard work in the community over the past 12 months, and now is your chance to show your appreciation.

The Welshpool Town Council Community Awards are held annually to recognise local people who have gone that extra mile as unsung heroes.

The recent snow blasts have certainly brought out some heartwarming stories and members of the public can make their nominations.

“Anyone can be nominated (even if they do not live in Welshpool) but they must have completed their good work in the Welshpool Town Council area,” said a spokesperson.

The closing date for nominations is April 16 and nomination forms are available at the Town Clerk’s Offices at Triangle House, Union Street or email wtcouncil@btinternet.com.
