It has emerged an investigation into alleged allegations by a whistle-blower at Mid Wales Housing Association have cleared the organisation.
According to a report in Inside Housing, an investigation was launched before Christmas. The organisation appointed solicitors Darwin Gray from Cardiff to undertake an independent investigation.
The association is landlord to over 1,600 properties in Mid Wales, including Welshpool.
A statement given to the national magazine states the these investigations found no evidence of a culture or climate of bullying or specific bullying behaviour.
It also states that the solicitors found no evidence of fraudulent exploitation of the expenses process and allegations that the executive team had misled or withheld information from the board were also rejected.
In a statement to Inside Housing, a spokesperson for Mid Wales Housing said: “Mid Wales Housing is determined to learn from this experience. The three detailed reports made several observations and recommendations for sensible improvements to strengthen policies and practices.
“The board has considered those recommendations and agrees that any improvements to the way [Mid Wales] works can only be a good thing for the organisation, staff and, most importantly, our tenants.”
It is understood the Welsh Government's housing regulator has confirmed to the association that it is happy with the way the allegations were handled and its grading remains at the highest possible for governance, services and financial viability.
