On another thrilling evening of local football action, Forden United clinched the Montgomeryshire Amateur League division two title, and Bishop’s Castle edged closer to the crown in division one.
Forden United saw off long time league leaders Llangedwyn, 3-1, and have four matches to go to see if they can go up with a 100% record for their first season back in football.
Meanwhile, in the top flight, Bishop’s Castle beat Waterloo Rovers 3-1 to go six points clear of Guilsfield Reserves, but having played two games more. However, with a far superior goal difference, the Shropshire side are still favourites for the title.
