Cup final for Pool

Welshpool Town kept alive their hopes of some silverware with a hard fought Tuesday night victory in the semi-final of the Spar Cup.

The league runners-up (pictured) beat Aberaeron 2-1 thanks to goals from Will Thomas and Adam Davies at Llanidloes.

Meanwhile, Guilsfield Reserves virtually handed the Montgomeryshire Amateur League title to Bishop’s Castle after a shock 3-1 defeat at Caersws Reserves.

Also last night, Four Crosses beat Llanfair Reserves 4-2, and Waterloo Rovers reached the semi-final of the League Cup with a 1-0 win at Meifod, who have had to play seven games in 15 days.
