Coffee and Universal Credit

A new initiative from the Town Council is inviting residents to join them for coffee and to find out more about issues that may be effecting them.

Starting tomorrow (Friday) the series of coffee mornings will be held at the Corn Exchange in the Town Hall to address issues and other items of interest.

“These coffee mornings have been arranged in order to allow the public to come and voice their opinions, fears and have questions answered about a variety of topical issues,” said a statement from the Town Council. “For example, the first morning being held on Friday is focused on Universal Credit, with representatives from the Benefits Office who will be speaking there.”

Future mornings will focus on topics such as disability and homelessness. 

The coffee morning will be held from 10am to 12pm.
