Purchase Ledger Clerk

Full Time

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy high volume manufacturing facility.

A Purchase Ledger Clerk is responsible for the purchase ledger and supporting the accounts function within the Finance Department. The role also involves administration duties.  There is strong focus on organisation and meeting deadlines.

Key Duties:

Match purchase orders to delivery notes and invoices then code accordingly and post

Dealing with invoice queries

Scanning and filing of purchase invoices and manual purchase orders

Reconciling supplier statements

Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments

Bank postings

Posting expenses payments and petty cash

General reception duties and any ad hoc administration tasks as required

Candidate Requirements:

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

IT literate with good ability to use Microsoft Office Excel

Organised and be able to prioritise to meet deadlines

Must be able to successfully build and maintain good working relationships, both internal and external

Previous experience in an accounts environment is essential

AAT qualified or studying toward AAT would be preferred

Salary range £16-£20K based on experience.
