The future of health service delivery in our area is reaching a crucial stage and on Monday you will have the chance to come fully up to speed and have your say.
A drop-in day is being held at the Town Hall from 9am-5pm to discuss, and place your vote, the future options on the table for what will be available in future at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and its sister hospital down the road in Telford.
Without your say and vote, we could see vital services moved to Telford, meaning extra distances to travel in an emergency or for treatment.
Future Fit, the team that is deciding on the final verdict, will be present in the morning, but the Town Council will be there all day along with information on what’s being proposed.
“This is open to all residents not just from Welshpool,” said a Town Council spokesperson. “There will also be free tea and coffees as well with residents having the opportunity to vote on their preference whilst giving their experiences on hospital care.
Surveys on the consultation can be found at the Tourist Information Centre along with a booklet.
