Control Techniques is part of the Industrial Automation business within the Nidec Group. We are a leading provider of sophisticated automation equipment, used in commercial and industrial applications. Our innovative products are used in the most demanding applications requiring performance, reliability and energy efficiency to enhance the productivity of our customers' machines and processes.


The Marketing Communications Apprentice will initially provide administrative support to the Marketing Communications team, assisting to develop promotional materials, learning from experienced, professionally trained colleagues whilst working towards a relevant, recognised Marketing qualification at Level 2 and / or Level 3. 
The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

·  Using digital and social media for marketing campaigns, monitoring the results of campaigns to assess their success

·  Designing marketing promotions and assisting in the development of content

·  Sourcing, building relationships with and managing outsourced marketing supplier relationships, negotiating price whilst ensuring quality is not compromised

·  Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing plans using spreadsheets to store and compare information / statistics

·  Collect, organize and analyse market research data

·  Analysing Competitor activity

·  Improving company presentation materials using presentation software, ensuring our materials are eye catching, interesting and that the layout and branding are consistent and accurate in line with Nidec requirements

·  Costing marketing campaigns, agreeing budgets and monitoring spend to ensure budgets are not exceeded

·  Planning and organising marketing events

·  Providing general administration support to the Marketing Team as and when required

  Qualifications, Experience and Profile:

·  A good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·  GCSE level education 

·  Drive and commitment to work towards a higher-level qualification

·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·  Heavily focused on customer service
