Barbaric attack on a sheep

Police are looking for a sick attacker who sliced the ears off a sheep and stabbed it a number of times.

Farmer Arwyn Huxley posted these pictures of his grim discovery last night and appealed for information from the public. His Facebook post has been shared almost 500 times.

The attack is believed to have happened on Monday and members of the public voiced concern on his post about what else the guilty person could be capable of.

“Dyfed-Powys Police has received a report of a sheep having its ears removed with a sharp object and its body slashed,” a police spokesperson told us.

“The attack has taken place sometime between 9am and 9pm on July 9 in the Llanfair Caereinion area.

“Anyone with information of this incident is urged to contact police by calling 101 quoting reference 468 of July 9.”
