Darts League brings out the best

It’s tight at the top of the Newtown Premier League with Gareth Ashley just a point clear.

The Welshpool player is just ahead of fellow Welshpool Super League player Mitch Butler who has a game in hand and recorded a fabulous 30 average in his latest 4-1 win over Paul Bordewey.

Ashley defeated Steve Greenwood 4-1, and also hit a 140 checkout in defeating Martin Rees 4-0.

Chris Hurds and Steve Price fought out a high class draw averaging 26 and 25 respectively.

Wins for Robin Shingler, Johnnie Francis, Jamie Kynaston and Nathan Dobson completed an excellent night of darts.
